This board is everything you could want and more. The inside of this thing is actually 90% air by volume. Would you become so light that you could float above, rather than on the snow? Now every one can float on air no matter what size foot you have. Transmits maximum power to your edges for precise carving and insane snow feel. Subtract glass, add carbon, carry the stoke and what do you get? So ride with good buddies, and always, always carry it! The Vapor Snowboard stands above all others for lightweight performance. Flex and pop that stays true, no matter how hard you ride. The Vapor Snowboard stands above all others for lightweight performance. Now every one can float on air no matter what size foot you have. This year they even added a 163W for you large footed riders.

Burton’s Vaporskin technology is what gives the Vapor its light weight.  It began using aluminum honeycomb which shaved off tons of weight from the board.  Through the years other materials have been added and subtracted until this year we are left with carbon honeycomb!  Amazing how Burton is able to do this.  This carbon gives the board tons of pop and responsiveness.

This year the Burton Vapor snowboard is still the lightest board on the market.  Still allows effortless spins and float.  Still super responsive and has a great feel.  Been doing some reading up on it lately and its going to be better than ever!

Tracking the Development

Hello and welcome to my blog site. In a couple of days I am hoping to actually have some worthwhile content up on my page. As of now, it is pretty empty because I have just got started.

Hopefully, I will be able to keep this guy going for a long time because I am a huge fan of the Burton Vapor and Burton Snowboards. Certainly, the snowboard, although it has been out for a few years, is still developing. And perhaps it will develop into a whole new series. Either way, I will be here tracking it and discussing it!

Thanks for stopping by.

Rode the 2008 Vapor

I am not sure how many people stopped by this page in the past, but I will have some more time in the near future to keep this guy up and running.

Well the good news is that I took my brand new 2008 Vapor out for a spin a couple of weeks back. The truth is that I wish I lived in Colorado right now so I can ride it at a resort. Instead, I took it up to Tahoe after the little dumps we got. There really wasn’t much snow, but I built a little jump. The we had a quick jib fest on a poor stump.

Yeah, I know what you are all thinking: Why the hell would I take out a Burton Vapor when the snow conditions are thin? Good question. Desperation? The board is fine right now, so no worries. But I can glad to report the Burton Vapor is still light as ever. I actually popped a front-flip off that small jump with easy. I love it. Further, I think the Burton is getting the Vapor more dialed for dampening. The new vapor is super smooth to ride, even in the terrible snow conditions.

I can’t wait till the resorts open.
